BMW Launches Limited Edition X3 M40i SUV in India at Rs 86.50 Lakh
On Thursday, BMW, India’s second largest luxury car manufacturer, unveiled the limited edition BMW X3 M40i SUV at its pan-India showroom. The X3 M40i, which shares its powertrain with the BMW M340i sedan, is a performance-focused version of the X3 SUV.
With bookings already underway for a token sum of Rs 5 lakh, the X3 M40i will be available in limited numbers as a completely built unit (CBU). The SUV boasts a sporty body kit with a more aggressive front bumper, larger vents, dual-tone 20-inch M light alloy wheels, dual exhausts, and M-specific ORVMs.
The interior of the X3 M40i is equipped with a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, carbon fiber interior trim, an M leather steering wheel, M seat belts, a panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, and 3-zone automatic climate control.
The X3 M40i is powered by a 3.0-liter, turbocharged 6-cylinder engine that produces 355 BHP and 500 Nm of torque. This engine, like the M340i sedan, is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and BMW’s xDrive all-wheel drive system. BMW claims that the SUV can reach 0-100 kmph in 4.9 seconds and has a top speed of 250 km/h, which is electronically limited.
